Hydrating Lactic Acid Peel

Gentle Resurfacing + Deep Hydration for Dry, Dull & Sensitive Skin

Our Hydrating Lactic Acid Peel is a gentle resurfacing treatment designed to brighten, smooth and hydrate the skin without jumping straight into a more aggressive chemical peel. Lactic acid helps remove dull surface buildup while supporting hydration, making this a great option when your skin needs exfoliation but also needs a little extra care.

For clients with sensitive or reactive skin, we like to start slowly. Our Progressive Enzyme Resurfacing Series allows us to prepare the skin and gradually introduce professional exfoliation before moving into a lactic acid peel.

A Gentler Approach to Resurfacing

Not every client needs — or should start with — an aggressive peel. The Hydrating Lactic Acid Peel gives us a way to improve dullness, dryness and uneven texture while keeping hydration an important part of the treatment.

We begin with a thorough cleanse using Vitamin Veil Cleanser and Lipid Replacing Cleansing Gel to prepare the skin. The Lactic Acid Peel is then applied and carefully neutralized with pK Peel Neutralizing Spray.

After resurfacing, we shift the focus back to calming and replenishing the skin with our Marshmallow Whip Hydrating Mask and Vitamin C Reversal Serum. We finish with Post Peel Balm to support the skin after treatment and Light Day Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 37 for protection.

The result is a professional hydrating chemical peel that combines exfoliation with products selected to replenish and protect freshly resurfaced skin.

Is a Lactic Acid Peel Right for Your Skin?

This treatment is a great option for clients looking to improve dry or dehydrated skin, dullness, rough texture and uneven-looking skin while adding professional exfoliation to their skincare routine.

If you have sensitive or reactive skin, we may recommend beginning with our Progressive Enzyme Resurfacing Series instead. This gives us an opportunity to see how your skin responds to progressive exfoliation before introducing an AHA peel.

The Hydrating Lactic Acid Peel is not recommended for clients with rosacea or known sensitivity to AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids). If you’re unsure whether your skin is ready for a peel, we’ll help you choose the treatment that makes the most sense for your skin rather than pushing it into something it isn’t ready for.

After Your Peel

Your home care matters after a chemical peel, so we’ll send you home knowing exactly what to do.

For the first 12 hours, leave your skin alone and allow the products from your treatment to do their job. After 12 hours, gently cleanse with Vitamin Veil Cleanser, apply 2 drops of Vitamin C Reversal Serum, followed by Post Peel Balm.

Avoid direct sun exposure while your skin is going through the peel process and wear sunscreen every day. Once the peel process is complete, you can return to your normal home skincare regimen.

If you use retinol, wait 14 days after your treatment before adding it back into your routine.

Building Better Skin Takes Time

A chemical peel doesn’t have to be an all-or-nothing treatment. We prefer to work with your skin gradually and choose the level of exfoliation that makes sense for where your skin is right now.

Depending on your skin, sensitivity and goals, your esthetician can help determine whether you should begin with progressive enzyme resurfacing, move into a Hydrating Lactic Acid Peel, or incorporate professional resurfacing treatments into your regular skincare routine.
